STOP SIGNS -- JUST A SUGGESTION???
I can't tell you how many times recently that someone has run a stop sign and pulled out in front of me. This is more likely to happen when someone is taking a right turn, thus ending up in front of me. Of course, there is more to the story. I work late. On night (early morning actually) at around 2 AM I was going through a 4-way intersection in a very small town. I slowed to practically a stop but not completely. I could see that no cars were coming from any direction. What I did not see was the police car in the driveway of the house on the corner. BUSTED. Luckily I got off with a warning.
Just a few weeks ago, I was traveling through the same intersection. As is now my practice, I came to a complete stop. I also sit for a few exaggerated seconds to lessen my chances of being pulled over again. This old lady behind me starts beeping her horn and waving her arms trying to hurry me through the intersection. I gave her a polite wave and was on my way.
One thing to remember, I am in need of a new car. If by chance, you pull out in front of me and happen to hit me, you would be doing me a favor and increasing your insurance rate at the same time. It's a win-win situation for me.
